The Alliance loosely coordinates human expansion across Near Space extending almost 15 parsecs / 50 light years from Sol.

Some say the Alliance governs in its prime while others darkly claim the Alliance prime has passed into decadence and decay.

The Alliance established the [[Alliance Navy]] to coordinate colonization across Near Space.

With the discovery of xeno-artifacts in the [[Niecti]] star system, the Alliance dispatched scientists to create the Alliance Xeno-Archeological Agency, [[AXAA]] to oversee investigations, backed by support of the Navy.
