SALVAGE SPACE: PROGRAMMING

Whether working solo, in cooperation with other hackers, or through deploying and managing parallel software agents to help them, Adventurers can find endless amounts of programming-related tasks to fill their downtime.

RESEARCH
Exploring and assimilating the constant stream of discoveries for hardware and software or running large-scale data analysis to discover knowledge from information.

PROGRAMMING
Creating new hardware and software solutions to solve problems, ranging from simple tools to complex engines like operating systems or synthetic intelligence.

BREAKING / PATCHING
Deliberately attempting to crash software or misuse hardware to find weaknesses and creating specific improvements for the deficient areas.

HARDWARE UPGRADES
Designing, building, assembling, or replacing components or entire computers.

MAINTENANCE
Running cleaners, optimizing tools, data organizers, security sweepers, or regular upgrades.

PORTING
Converting software and data from one system to another.

PROFILING
Building test systems for hardware and software and benchmark performance using different configurations to remove bottlenecks and improve the response of the system.
