SUNFLOWER STATIONS
Agriculture stations orbiting Hipparcos 1368 in solar orbit.
Structure
Each station follows the same plan of sealed central ring spinning about its axis which points through to the center of the star.
The transparent inner surface of the ring allows light from Hipparcos 1368 reflected from an octagonal free-floating inner ring to reach the harvests.
Advanced Alliance materials in the transparency amplify and correct the sunlight to benefit terranic flora on a section by section basis.
Other sections grow crops adjusted to synthesize from Hipparcos' light directly.
The outer surface of the ring anchors 8 huge, elongated octagonal power gathering panels, giving the station the appearance of a giant technological flower from a distance.
