CREATING FLOORPLAN NETWORKS

People map complex structures which integrate spaces for many purposes and services onto floorplans.

A given floorplan may include connections between fixtures within the floorplan as well as connections to “off page” infrastructure.

When creating floorplans, also consider which infrastructure networks exist within the space for Adventurers to interact with:

Air distribution networks such as air conditioning or life support ducts and vents.
Water distribution networks such as kitchen or bathroom plumbing.
Food distribution networks including deliveries or dumb-waiters.
Power distribution networks for lighting and appliances.
Waste disposal / reclamation network connections where necessary.
Communication networks including intercoms, closed-circuit video, or radio transceivers.
