The Alliance established the Alliance Navy supporting colonization and enforcing Alliance policy across across Near Space extending almost 15 parsecs / 50 light years from Sol.

With the discovery of xeno-artifacts, the Alliance tasked the Navy to extend support to the Alliance Xeno-Archeological Agency, AXAA to regulate the potential of destructive xeno-artifacts.
