SALVAGE SPACE: MAGIC LEVEL
The Chronology role-playing game allows Adventurers and Guides to include magical, supernatural, or metaphysical abilities if they choose.
Chronology rates the relative amounts of supernatural ability with in a setting using a Magic Level scale from -10 (absolutely no supernatural abilities) to +10 (everything everywhere is magical).
Science-Fiction stories have a long tradition of including magical powers under many different names including “powers” or “psionics”.
Each group of Salvage Space Adventurers and Guides should discuss whether or not to allow magical abilities like powers or psionics, and how widely available these exist.
For example, at Magic Level +0 roughly 1-in-1000 Adventurers may develop then master magical powers.
At this Magic Level, magic, powers, or psionics rarely manifest in the general population.
Everyday people scoff at claims of magical abilities like telepathy, teleportation, telekinesis, or pyrokinesis .
