Movement In Combat

The Adventurer's Speed Attribute Score governs the number of movements or actions per turn they may perform.

SPEED MOVES OR ACTIONS PER TURN
-10 to -4 1
-3 to +3 2
+4 to +10 3

Depending on the type of mapping use to track combat, a move may cover a hex, a square, an inch of tabletop distance, or a single defined area or section of the map.

An Adventurer may double their movement distance by running and taking no other action such as aim for that turn.

WALKING

  • ~3-4mph
  • ~5-6kph
  • ~100 yards per minute
  • ~5 feet per second
  • ~1 hex per second

FAST WALKING

  • ~5mph
  • ~7 feet per second

RUNNING

  • ~8mph, 12kph
  • ~200 yards/minute
  • ~10 feet per second
  • ~2 hex per second
  • Running a mile: 1600m, 10mph, 16kph
  • Running a marathon: ~26 miles, 42km, ~13mph, ~21kph

TURNING

  • While moving: 1 hex-side per second
  • In place: 2 hex-sides per second
