SFX RESTRICTIONS
Special Effects (SFX) may grant a number of possible advantages to the wielder, but they cannot grant unlimited or unrestricted effects without destroying the universe.
The limitations inherent in the SFX wielder may limit their use of individual SFX differently.

SFX Attribute Score Restrictions
SFX which detect or conceal Attribute Scores should not provide exact numbers to the Adventurers. 1)
A failed SFX check should also return potentially unreliable or unrealistic descriptions to force Adventurers to question or wonder just how well their SFX worked.
SFX may enhance or impair Attribute Scores but it is recommended to limit these effects to one Attribute at a time and only a plus or minus (+/-) 3 at most.
SFX Attribute Reserve Restrictions
SFX which detect or conceal Attribute Reserves should not provide exact numbers to the Adventurers. 2)
A failed SFX check should also return potentially unreliable or unrealistic descriptions to force Adventurers to question or wonder just how well their SFX worked.
SFX may heal or wound Attribute Reserves but it is recommended to limit these effects to one Attribute Reserve at a time and only a plus or minus (+/-) 10 points of that Reserve at most.
Otherwise, it becomes more of an Attribute Score change.
SFX Aspect Restrictions
SFX may be specific to a single aspect of nature which renders the SFX ineffective against other aspects of nature.
Additionally, SFX with an opposing aspect of nature may double the effect of counter-spelling SFX.
SFX Targets and Area of Effect Restrictions
Restrictions may affect who or what may be targeted by SFX:
- Self-only
- Only one other
- Some or all of the party only
- Many or All Others not in the party
- Specific terrain or locations such as holy or unholy ground
SFX may only work for a specific area of effect around the targeted SFX area.
SFX Creation Restrictions
SFX which spontaneously create or manifest their affect may require specific conditions or pre-requisites in place to succeed.
For example: SFX to create or manifest food may require a small piece or sample to work from.
SFX Duration Restrictions
The Attribute Reserve of the SFX wielder limits the maximum duration of the SFX affect.
SFX Illusion Restrictions
The ability to manifest and control Illusion SFX satisfactorily may require line of sight or combination with other SFX such as clairvoyance for success.
Size of manifested Illusion may base on Will of the SFX wielder.
Complexity of manifested Illusion may base on Ingenuity of the SFX wielder.
SFX Motion Restrictions
The Reflexes of the SFX wielder limit the maximum motion their SFX may perform.
SFX Range Restrictions
The Awareness of the SFX wield limits the maximum range their SFX may affect.
SFX Repetition Restrictions
The Will Reserve of the SFX wielder limits the maximum repetitions of an SFX they may perform.
SFX Shield Restrictions
The Intelligence Reserve of the SFX wielder limits the effectiveness of their Shield SFX.
