SALVAGE SPACE: EXPERIENCE LEVELS
Experience Points are earned through Adventuring.
As the Adventurer's total Experience Points pass set thresholds, known as “Levels”, their Attribute Scores, Skills, and Special Effect Abilities may improve.
Players may use their Experience Point level as an indicator of overall growth and progress of their Adventurer.
At the first Downtime after advancing to each new level, the Adventurer makes an unmodified 2d6-2d6 Improvement Roll for a Physical Attribute of their choice, a Mental Attribute of their choice, a Skill of their choice, and a Special Effect (SFX) ability of their choice.
If each Improvement Roll results in a Success (0 to +10) that Attribute, Skill or Ability advances one step.
Instead of advancing an already learned Skill, the Adventurer may start a new Skill at Novice (-4) without requiring an Improvement Roll.
The Guide may use the Adventurers' Experience Point levels to scale encounter difficulty.
